Class Types
Mini and Me
-
Our Mini and Me class is a beginner-level Pilates session designed for postnatal parents from 4-6 weeks postpartum and beyond, once cleared for exercise by your pelvic floor physio. You can join at any time during your postpartum journey, whether you're just starting or even 6 months postpartum, and dads are welcome too! This gentle class is ideal for those who may not have exercised in a while. It’s slower-paced and allows flexibility for interruptions if babies need attention. Exercises are adaptable, so parents can participate with or without their babies. Led by experienced Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, this class provides a safe and supportive space to gradually ease back into exercise, rebuild strength, and regain confidence.

Pilates FAQs
-
Absolutely! Everyone starts somewhere, and we welcome beginners. We recommend booking a private introductory session first so we can show you how to use the equipment and introduce basic exercises. This will help you feel confident and get the most out of your Pilates classes. You can book online or give us a call and we can talk you through it and find a time that suits
-
Each class is structured around a series of low-impact exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, and posture. Our Mums and Bubs and Pregnancy Pilates classes include modifications to support postnatal recovery or pregnancy, with a focus on pelvic floor, core, and overall body health. We work with reformers and other Pilates equipment to enhance your experience.
-
Comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for easy movement is best. Think leggings, fitted tops, and layers you can remove if needed. We also recommend grip socks to ensure stability on the reformer and mat. If you dont have these already you can purchase them at the studio
-
Just yourself! Oh and a towel and water bottle. We provide all the necessary equipment, including mats and reformers. If you’re attending a Mums and Bubs class, feel free to bring any essentials for your baby (but we also have about 500 flashy toys!)
-
We recommend arriving at least 5-10 minutes early. This gives you time to settle in, meet your instructor, and discuss any special considerations before the class begins.
-
Yes, Pilates is highly beneficial during pregnancy, helping to strengthen your pelvic floor, core, and overall body. All of our classes can be tailored for pregnancy, but our “bumps and core” class is specifically designed to support your body through every stage of pregnancy. We do recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise program during pregnancy and an assessment with our physios is required prior to joining our classes!
-
Yes, you can claim all of our classes on Private Health insurance unless otherwise specified. In order to do this these classes require an initial assessment or pre exercise assessment. If you would like to check your level of cover use code 500 or 102 for an initial assessment and 560 or 202 for classes. We recommend checking with your health insurer for specific details on what your policy covers.
-
Yes babies are more than welcome at any of our classes. Our Mini and Me class is specifically designed to accommodate both you and your little one, however you can bring bub to all our classes. Please note however for older more mobile babies they will need to remain in their pram as we cant risk little fingers near reformers!
-
Definitely! Pilates is a fantastic way to support postpartum recovery, focusing on rebuilding core strength, pelvic floor health, and improving overall mobility. Our Mini and Me and postnatal-focused classes are specifically tailored to help new mums safely regain strength and fitness after childbirth.
Can I bring my baby?
We offer small group classes (with a maximum of 4 participants), ensuring you receive personalized attention and a class tailored to your individual needs. Our Mini and Me class is designed specifically for babies to come to class, but babies are welcome at all sessions (unless otherwise specified), so you can enjoy your workout without worrying about child care. We do however ask that more mobile kiddies remain in their prams or with mum or dad whilst class is in progress to avoid little hands near the reformers! Our instructors are pros at keeping little ones entertained—just cue “Happy Song” by Imogen Happ on repeat! They’re also happy to hold your baby if you’re comfortable or even help you integrate your little one into your workout in our mini and me sessions. Feel free to bring a bouncer or any toys to keep them engaged while you focus on your session!
Can I claim Pilates classes on private health insurance?
Only our Clinical Pilates (8 week program) is currently claimable on private health insurance. In order for us to claim these classes and to program to your specific goals, we do require you to have a pre class assessment. For this use code 500. Ongoing clinical Pilates classes or sessions can be claimed under 560 for physiotherapy or 202 for exercise physiology, depending on your coverage and which class you participate in. We recommend checking with your health insurer for specific details on what your policy covers.
